The research illuminates understandings of the contemporary neoliberal and neoconservative policy landscape in education. It does this through exploring the leadership of discursively significant school types within an original intellectual mapping of the increasingly and purposively diversified education provision in England.
The thesis was submitted under the University of Manchester regulations for Alternative Format, and consists of six outputs, which at the time of award five were published.
