Societies

All architecture students become members of the Manchester Student Society of Architecture (MSSA).

MSSA is the largest student society in the UK. It exists to enhance your experience of the Manchester School of Architecture (MSA), and organises:

  • the Before You’re 30 (BY30) lecture series;
  • the Architecture Summer Ball;
  • visits from architects;
  • other social events.

The Society is also an umbrella organisation for a variety of ventures, including:

  • academic events;
  • sports teams;
  • student-led initiatives;
  • student projects.

MSSA meets every week during term time. Everyone is welcome - undergraduate, taught master's and postgraduate research students alike.
