SEED announce Social Responsibility Lecture 2017 details

SEED's annual Social Responsibility Lecture will take place on Thursday 19 October 2017, with Professor Kalwant Bhopal using her research to discuss BME experiences in higher education.

The free event, 'BME experiences in higher education: inclusion, equity and social justice', will start at 4.30pm with a welcome reception and a showcase of SEED social responsibility work, with the hour-long lecture beginning at 5.15pm. 

The event is open to all, and will be held at the Cordingly Lecture Theatre in The University of Manchester's Humanities Bridgeford Street Building.

Professor Bhopal is a Professor of Education and Social Justice and Professorial Research Fellow in the Centre for Research in Race and Education in the School of Education, University of Birmingham.

She has used her research to inform policy making in higher education, particularly the development of the Race Equality Charter mark.
