As a Planning and Environmental Management student, you'll have access to our dedicated urban design and planning studio, Modelmaking Workshop, IT resources, and libraries and collections.

Urban design and planning studio

The University of Manchester's Humanities Bridgeford Street Building houses studio space specifically for urban design and planning students.

It is found on the second floor (Room 2.4), alongside dedicated space for computer-based design teaching.

Modelmaking Workshop

We offer facilities and advice for the production of scale development and presentation models for use in student projects, in the form of the B.15 Modelmaking Workshop.

The workshop offers state-of-the-art digital fabrication technology alongside core traditional manufacturing techniques.

The University offers computer clusters across the campus, while Planning and Environmental Management offers the studio space access to standard and large format printing facilities and WiFi.

Online resources are also used extensively to support learning and teaching, including the Blackboard virtual learning environment.
