Master's degree achieving 65% minimum in the dissertation and an overall award of distinction

Nationality restrictions

This funding is available to all nationalities.

Other eligibility criteria

Application must be made within three years of receiving a University of Manchester master's degree. The scholarship is available for international, EU and UK students who study full-time or part-time.  

Please note that you will not receive the Doctoral Alumni Scholarship should you be successful in securing another University scholarship or if you are funded by a Research Council, external funder i.e. Commonwealth Scholarship Commission

Application procedure

No separate application is required - all eligible PhD applicants will be considered.
