Career opportunities

As a geologist or earth scientist your potential career paths will be extremely varied.  You could end up prospecting for diamonds in Suriname, or work as an exploration geologist in the oil and gas sector, or as a policy adviser for a major oil company. Around 40% of our students go on to study for further degrees and nearly  80% of our 2010 graduates surveyed were in fulltime employment or studying  for further degrees 6 months after graduating (DLHE survey).
