Access schemes

Manchester offers several access schemes to give you a taste of university life. If you complete them successfully you will be better prepared for university-level study and could receive a reduced offer in the A-level (or equivalent qualification) grades required to study with us.

Financial support

There is a range of financial support available to study Geography. For some eligible students this can add up to more than £3000 per year* of non-repayable bursaries from the University in addition to the repayable financial support you can apply for from the government.

Our careers service can even help you find a part time job if you are looking to gain further financial security while studying.
