- a permanent or prospective faculty member at an Indonesian University;

- administrative staff in DIKTI;

- or administrative staff in an Indonesian State University.

Continuation of award

Continuation of the award is subject to satisfactory progress.

Number available

Up to 150 students study in the UK per year over five years (2013 - 2018).

The Indonesian Ministry of Education Directorate General of Higher Education (DIKTI).

  • Postgraduate research

This funding is available in all subject areas across the University.

Academic requirements

Entry requirements vary from School to School.  Please check on the website of the School you wish to join. 

Open to all subject areas across the University.

Nationality restrictions

This funding is available to international students.

Other eligibility criteria

Manchester require all applicants to demonstrate proficiency in English language, on the basis of a recognised qualification e.g. IELTS or TOEFL. 

The specific requirements are set by academic Schools, but the minimum requirements are: IELTS: at least 6.0 (with no sub score below 5.5)

In order to apply to this scholarship the person must first hold a conditional acceptance letter for the programme he/she wants to study at Manchester.

There are four calls for applications a year.
