When you study with us in Manchester, we begin a lifelong relationship. Our graduates are our best advocate of a SEED education.
Engaging with graduates
You are a great source of knowledge, and inspiration for our students whether about a particular employment or research sector, or about transferable skills. Your success story can inspire our future graduates and help them to make the life-changing decisions about the future they are facing while they’re with us.
We regularly invite our alumni back to campus for our Guardian Award-winning ‘Meet the Professionals’ speed networking events. SEED alumni have been essential lecturers on research modules across the School from undergraduate to PhD researchers.
Other alumni have been welcomed back to the School to give talks at special events, which is always hugely popular with students.
Perhaps you might like to share your career experiences on an employability module, offer a work shadowing or mentoring opportunity, or suggest a research problem for an applied module.
Our magazine for alumni, Newslink, is the best way to hear about developments in teaching and research across SEED, about public engagement activities and also what your fellow alumni have been up to.
We’d love to hear your updates and stories whether it’s:
- a career update
- a memorable experience on fieldwork
- a recent marriage
- your memories of the School and the University
- your recent travels.
To receive a copy of the newsletter, please make sure Your Manchester Online has your current email address.
We’re happy to host a reunion for you and your classmates on campus, whether it’s simply by providing a venue and catering, arranging a tour of the University and the School, contacting your class mates, or helping out with the logistics.
