Mental health and wellbeing

Participants told us that lockdown (and aspects of the pandemic) had brought on intense, difficult feelings that sometimes felt like an emotional rollercoaster.

These are normal reactions to the circumstances, which have brought a sudden disruption to life and raised lots of new concerns and worries.

For many, it will be helpful to provide opportunities to talk about how the pandemic has impacted them emotionally this year and normalise how they’ve been feeling.

Some may need more directed support, such as through pastoral and support staff or referrals to external services.
