You may be wondering what financial support is available to you to study our course, how to apply, whether you will have the right grades to get in, or how different university study will be from school or college. We have support in place to help in all of these areas.
Architecture is offered by the Manchester School of Architecture, a unique collaboration between The University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University so you’ll benefit from the facilities and support of both universities if you choose Architecture with us.
Application support
Applying for Architecture includes the submission of a portfolio. This process might be new to you but we’ve got lots of advice available to help you with the process.
You may be eligible to receive a reduced offer in the A-level (or equivalent qualification) grades required to study with us. Find out if this applies to you by visiting contextual data.

Access schemes
Manchester offers several access schemes to give you a taste of university life. If you complete them successfully you will be better prepared for university-level study and could receive a reduced offer in the A-level (or equivalent qualification) grades required to study with us.

Financial support
You may be eligible for university bursaries from both universities in addition to the repayable financial support you can apply for from the government. We also offer a non-repayable £500 bursary* to eligible Architecture students, to help with the costs of getting started at university.

Student support at university
You can access a wide range of student support services at both The University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University.
