SEEDs of Change

The School of Environment, Education and Development (SEED) - planting expert ideas to address global challenges.

In 2024, we mark The University of Manchester’s bicentenary. As we celebrate two centuries of learning, innovation and research, we also look to the future and ask, what will the next century bring?

In the School of Environment, Education and Development (SEED), we explore and explain the relationships between societies, economies, governments, and the environment, from identifying microplastic pollution in our rivers to examining the cost-of-living crisis and impact of austerity.

To secure an equitable and sustainable future, we must work together. Let’s start the conversation. Let’s sow the SEEDs of change. Explore our expert ideas below, and use #SEEDSOFCHANGE on social media.
